Will Godfrey has 10 years professional photography experience shooting music, editorial, portraits, and fine art. He is based in Atlanta, Georgia, but frequently travels all over the globe on assignment.

After developing a passion for photography in 2000, Will Godfrey has since devoted all his time to learning the art. As the Photo Editor for his high school yearbook, Will quickly became obsessed with creating new and engaging images. On the track to becoming a professional engineer, Will realized his true calling while trying to study for a college-level physics exam. He found his eyes repeatedly drifting upward from his textbook to the pictures tacked to his wall. He quickly started looking into photography schools.

Two years later he received an associate of art degree in Visual Journalism from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Calif. He then interned at the White County News-Telegraph in Cleveland, Ga., before becoming a staff photographer. Will has photographed advertising campaigns, war protests, numerous models, amazing bands, and lots of weddings.

Will also graduated from Georgia College & State University with a degree in General Business Administration. He worked for two years as the Photo Editor for the the school’s newspaper (The Colonnade) and assisted for LaCour photography on wedding and corporate shoots on weekends.

Will spent two years shooting regularly with The Decisive Moment for weddings and The Orange Block for commercial shoots while continuing to photograph diverse collections of freelance jobs for various clients. Now, Will is focusing on his Editorial business.

Will is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and has been recognized for his work multiple times in the state of Georgia.
