Rural Sunset Drive Art Photos – Images by Will Godfrey
After being cooped up in the office for a good portion of the day, my conscious wouldn’t let such a beautiful day become a complete waste. So I grabbed a camera and headed to the car about an hour before sunset to do the closest thing to street photography that is possible in the country. Essentially I drove until I found a road that I had never been on before and turned to find out where it went, all the while shooting photos without looking through the viewfinder.
I do rather enjoy getting out of the car and taking some photos, but I have been burned on numerous occasions around here. Seems these old country folk aren’t too keen on scruffy looking city boys wandering about their property with a camera in hand. Only time I ever manage to get away with it, I have an cute female photographer with me to help smooth things over.
Anyways, I drove about for over an hour shooting as I went. The images above are my favorites. I must say, I didn’t expect to get one keeper because I am so obsessive about good clean design within my composition, but I managed to surprise myself.
What do you think? And remember, I also didn’t get into any accidents while I took photos and drove (not recommended).
